Why This Must Be Read: This may be too close to the bone for some at present as it features a plague that wipes out almost everyone worldwide - except a few like Rodney, and those that can transform into wolves, like John. It's packed with great characterisation and plot, involves wilderness journeys and survival, pack dynamics, various post-apocalyptic perils and of course, John and Rodney's developing relationship. There are two longish stories in the series, which is complete, and they're a great read - very much recommended.
