Why This Must Be Read: This is a fix-it for the comics that explores what might have happened if Cougar had been rescued by (and then recruited by) the SGC. And it is amazing. It's Cougar POV, and the outsider perspective of the Stargate program - and then Atlantis (and the personnel) - is fantastic. Cougar is detached, he's missing his team, and that makes his observations of working on an SG team, and then being recruited for Atlantis, even better. And then he gets a databurst of increasingly angry emails accusing him of impersonating a dead guy, and it turns out that someone has hacked the SGC...
I love this fic so much. I love the fantastic POV thatmific has written, I love the pacing, and I love the ending. There are wonderful nods to the wackiness that is the Pegasus Galaxy (and the insane joy that sometimes comes from that wackiness) and this is also a great exploration of grief and working to come to terms with loss (with an eventual happy ending). This is a deeply satisfying read, from start to finish. I want to hug this fic.
