Why This Must Be Read: I love stories with original, creative plots that incorporate a 'team as family' theme into off-world adventure. This story does just that, and does it very well, with the life-threatening situation the team finds themselves in serving to highlight their deep commitment to one another.
The gun to her head halted all protests. She gulped back her explanations, her logical arguments, and stilled her features. Her eyes focused only on the leader of her team as he stayed paralyzed next to the door of their cell. Manacles bound his wrists, linking him to the sterile white wall. The rest of her team, both Teal’c and Daniel, were similarly bound to the inner wall of the cell.
Though fatigue haunted her Commanding Officer’s eyes, he kept his jaw set and his eyes steadily fastened to her. Her next move, her next words could damn them all.
