Why This Must Be Read: This one's unusual, and dear to my heart. Rhymer23 wrote it in response to the ending of the show, and it soundly trashes the 4th wall. It takes the ending of the show and makes it yet another life or death crisis the characters have to deal with, especially John, who's always central for rhymer23. But it's very much about the team as well, and the wider team of all the characters in the show. It's poignant, at first sad, then uplifting, and it's about fandom, another sort of team.
Summary: When you are suddenly released from your responsibilities, what do you do? After five difficult years, the inhabitants of Atlantis are finally free to go home, but where is home?
