Why This Must Be Read: This series of drabbles made into one fic studies Vala through interactions with various SG-1 and Atlantis characters. Some make you think more than others. Some make you laugh. All of them have great interactions between the characters. And Isa has a way of making you like everyone. The characterization is spot-on and it's nice to see Vala interact with someone other than Daniel.

All of these drabbles are great but I picked this one because I think it was the first one I read & it made me want to read the rest of the series, so I also recommend you take a look at the rest of them

Dance has just the right combination of angst and happiness and purple_cube manages to do this in a fairly short piece. The Teyla characterisation is spot on & her grief at being alone is tangible. Rodney is able to help her but without being too out of character because his approach isn't perfect & he probably isn't as sauve as he might like
